THE KINGTON LEOMINSTER RAILWAY

The 13 mile railway was opened in 1857.  It stopped at Kington, Titley, Marston, Pembridge, Kingsland and Leominster.  The whole journey took 40 minutes.  It was closed to passengers in 1955 and to freight in 1964.

The Kington Leominster group are currently exploring possibilities of re-opening the line for transport, tourism, freight and as a housing development corridor.
